Come Up Here And See

The only way to heal my heart or your heart is that we must change our minds about God. This is what repentance is, because repentance in the Greek means metanoia which is to change our mind.

The only way to change our minds about God is to know Him, spend time in His presence, speak to Him and listen because He is always speaking to us.

As we read His Word, we will find out what His Word says about Him. As we meditate on the Word of God, read the Word out loud so that we can hear the Word of God our faith in God will increase. The Word tells us that “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.” Romans 10: 17 NKJV Another version says that it is impossible to have faith without hearing God’s Word.

When I read the scriptures out loud, I also pray them back to the Lord asking and thanking Him for a deeper revelation of what that scripture is saying. There will come a day where it is almost like the sunglasses have been taken off and I can finally see the sun and it is overwhelming, exciting and I stand amazed and grateful that the Lord has never given up on me.  

I find out more and more that He is God and there is no one else like Him. Jesus is the only way to the Father. As I read and see how great He is I fall more in love with Him because He is love. The Holy Spirit encourages me through each reading no matter of how long or short the time that I have because I have decided to be faithful. He loves my faithfulness to Him because that is one of His attributes and He is faithful first.

As we soak in His presence and meditate on His Word, which means to growl over like a lion would growl over his prey, so we chew on the Word and go over and over and over the Word then more of His character, His love, His grace, His mercies, His righteousness, His joy, His longing for us is revealed that we cannot but help to run into His arms and worship Him because He deserves all the glory.

One time as I was going into prayer the topic was God deserves all the glory and I heard the Holy Spirit say pray about who I am. I was like Lord, that would be like me telling the teacher who the teacher is, are you sure? He was sure. So, I looked up the names of God and I did not find what I thought I would find such as  El Shaddai, Yahweh but I found a list of 102 names of God and as I prayed them out in conversation with the Holy Spirit I became the blessed one. That time of prayer ministered to me in knowing that the most powerful prayer is to pray the scriptures. Remind yourself in prayer who God is, and your faith will grow, along with your joy and peace and strength because you know that He is God and you have nothing to worry about.

Father I pray for those who are reading this blog that a hunger for the Word of God would grow and that they would spend time seeking You with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and in the process that their mind would change about You and then their broken hearts will be healed because they have spent time in Your presence soaking in your mercies. In Jesus Name. Amen
