Come Up Here And See

Have we truly surrendered all or is it just a beautiful song?

One morning while in worship and we were singing I Surrender All, I had a vision of one room in the house that people had locked up and the Holy Spirit was waiting for them patiently to hand over the key to Him. In that room it was filled to brim like a hoarder’s room, dirty, dead bugs, never cleaned or put in order and there was a stench like a dead mouse rotting because it was full there was not even a path through it. And the people were ashamed that they had all this garbage in their lives, and they did not believe that they could just give the key to the Lord Jesus Christ and He would take care of it. Also, some were hanging on so tight to the memories, the shame it was like they thought their identity was in that.

I also saw where it was not a whole room but there was a battered antique chest in the middle of the room locked up and that person was holding the key and once again, they would not surrender the key to the Lord. They were singing I Surrender All, Jesus was nudging them to hand over the key but they could not and some were defiant that they would not.

With some it was just a lockbox like the size that you get at the bank and both the bank master, and you have the key but once again Jesus was standing there waiting for the key, patiently loving them while they were worshipping Him, singing I Surrender All.

With some it was shame and they had believed the lie that they could not possibly give the key to Jesus because then He would not love them anymore. They had believed the religious lie  of big sins and little sins, they had not spent enough time with the Holy Spirit, because many knew the Word of God but because of not spending time in the presence of the Holy Spirit, they had separated the Word from the Spirit and became religious therefore believing the lie of big and little sins and not understanding that sin is sin and that Jesus had taken all our sins on the cross and it was dealt with.

Others had believed the Satanic lie from the second heaven where the enemy reigns and does battle that such things as “anxiety”, “fear” are normal. They accepted those thoughts and lies from the enemy and will even say “well you know anxiety is normal” and they would not believe that anxiety is a demon that can be cast out to dry lands in Jesus’ name so they have kept that demon in that room and would not hand over the key to the Holy Spirit because “well this is normal”. These also were singing I Surrender All with their arms lifted high, eyes closed.

The Holy Spirit is a gentleman who waits patiently for you and I to come, to surrender all. The Holy Spirit is constantly wooing us all to surrender everything to Him. That means all hidden shame or shame that you think is hidden but it is not. Those memories must be surrendered so you can be healed and made whole. That is the Lord’s greatest desire after you have been saved. He wants to see you healed, delivered, set free, having your heart and mind renewed daily with the Word of God so that in can turn you can be a deliverer like Jesus to others because we are made in His Image and that is our commission.

Romans 12: 2 NASB And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

Ephesians 2:10 ESV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Matthew 28:18-20 ESV And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

James 4:7 ESV Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

So Father God I come to you and I pray that all of us would submit ourselves to You, Holy Spirit and we resist the devil and his lies. Holy Spirit we hand over to you any key that we have been holding back, we ask that you reveal any lies that we are hanging onto and we would renew our mind with the Word of God guided by You so that we are never separating the Holy Scriptures from You. We thank you that we can trust You with all things because we want to be the deliverers on this earth and fulfill the great commission. We love you Lord and trust you with everything in our lives.
