Come Up Here And See

What happens in our lives when God arises.

Psalm 68:1a reads “Let God arise, and His enemies be scattered”.

I remember singing this small chorus over and over again and I thought it was in the 80’s but maybe it was a different decade. I remember it being sung accompanied by a piano, uplifting song and as you sang it joy would overwhelm you and you did not want to stop singing. Recently as this small repeated chorus came back to my memory I remember it as “let faith arise” and then one day while reading the Psalms I read it correctly as “let God arise”. I was kind of surprised but as I was meditating on this small chorus, the Holy Spirit showed me, Lisa if you are allowing and desiring for God to arise in your life, then faith will arise, peace will arise, righteousness will arise, hope will arise, truth will arise. All the fruits of the Spirit will arise in my life and in your lives because that is who God is.

That brought me such hope because when you are going through trials, either medical, marital, financial, family, loss, etc., what you and I need to do is stay focused on Jesus and as we do that, God will arise in my life and in yours and our enemies will be scattered. I concentrate on the fact that I was the joy set before God, that Jesus has redeemed me, I believe who He is and who the Word of God says He is, I thank Him that He has provided victory for me and I trust Him.

Hebrews 12: 2 NASB1995 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Word of God says to fix our eyes on Jesus but I know that we all need to fix our hearts, soul, mind and strength on Him.

Matthew 22: 37 NKJV Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’

I know that when I do allow God to arise in my life that God’s enemies will be scattered. I do not need to give the devil attention; I need to stay concentrated on God Almighty and His goodness and His character and as I do that, I will see the enemy less because the enemy is defeated and that he is not worthy of attention.

As I fix, focus, look my eyes on Jesus I will see Him as the Prince of Peace, Lion of Judah, Lamb of God, King of all Kings, The Great Redeemer, The Everlasting One, The Great I Am and my Lord and Saviour and I will know that my enemies are scattered. Praise Your Holy Name! Thank you, Holy Spirit, for revelation upon revelation of every scripture in Your Word, I am grateful.

Holy Spirt I pray that You would continue to reveal Yourself to us, word upon word, scripture upon scripture, love upon love and that we would accept the truth that You are revealing to us. I pray that we would be thankful everyday and continue to pray and read our scriptures and we would study everyday and dig for the gold that You have for us. In Jesus Name, Amen.

2 Timothy 2: 15 NKJV Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
