One morning I heard the Lord saying to me with bright eyes and a smile on His face, “Oh Lisa please tell me how excited you are. I want to know all the details, the squirrel trails, the rabbit trails, all of it, it does not matter. I am not like others, tell Me all.”
Wow! I sat there with tears and even today, as I meditate on this I could burst into tears. He was confirming to me that He was not like any friend or relative that I have. I could come to Him at any time and start telling a story no matter the length of the story, I could get sidetracked, I could just stop because I might have even confused myself with my thoughts, but He was always wanting, ready and available to hear everything.
For me, who likes to talk and even talks in her sleep that is so reassuring and comforting. This overwhelms me with His love and acceptance that I still have tears.
One of the things that was reassured to me was when I would get to the end of the story He would have never been lost, He would have enjoyed every second of my time, He would have never left, He would have never rolled His eyes at me with frustration, He would be patient with me and then when I finally took breath and stopped, He would smile, hold my hand, either sit or walk with me and then He would start saying some encouraging words of either correction, guidance, direction, conviction, but every Word from the Lord would be incredible.
The Lord brought to my remembrance scriptures that backed up or solidified in my thoughts that He will never leave me, He rejoices and sings over me because of His love and not because of anything that I have done and that He hears me and answers me.
Hebrews 13: 5 NKJV Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
Zephaniah 3:17 NASB The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will rejoice over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
Psalm 5:3 NASB In the morning, Lord, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will present my prayer to You and be on the watch.
Micah 7:7 AMP But as for me, I will look expectantly for the Lord and with confidence in Him I will keep watch; I will wait [with confident expectation] for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.
What breathtaking love that God Almighty has for us. God’s love is not like any love that we have experienced before because God sent His son Jesus to save us and not condemn us so that we could be redeemed. For that reason, I want to shout, jump, and dance because not only does He follow me in all my stories, but He has also redeemed me. Jesus also told the disciples that it was better if He went away so that the Holy Spirit who is the comforter and helper could come and lead us into all truth.
John 3: 16 -17 NASB “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.
John 16: 7, 13 TLB But the fact of the matter is that it is best for you that I go away, for if I don’t, the Comforter won’t come. If I do, He will—for I will send Him to you. 13 When the Holy Spirit, who is truth, comes, He shall guide you into all truth, for He will not be presenting His own ideas, but will be passing on to you what He has heard. He will tell you about the future.
I want to encourage you today that God always wants to hear from you, at any time, through any situation, either tears, happiness, joy, frustration, or unbelief. He wants you to continue having a conversation with Him and to trust Him because He loves you.
So, Father God we come to You today telling You all and trusting You with everything. We are grateful that You always long for your children to come home to You today. Lord, I pray that everyone would see that they are loved and wanted by You, in Jesus’ name I pray Amen.
