In preparing to write a weekly blog, I seem to think about various ideas, but the Holy Spirit asked me Lisa, what is the name of your blog? Well Lord it is Come Up Here and See and then He asked what is the purpose of that name? Well, Lord, my blog is based on Revelations 4:1 which we would see as God sees. Further, He asked what you do at the end of every blog. My answer is that I pray for the people and me globally that we would see as God sees the topic of what I have written. I patiently waited for the reason for the Lord’s questions, and He directed me to share what the Word of God says about Israel, to bless them, and to pray for them. Okay, Lord, here we go.

God’s Word tells us that Issac’s blessing to Jacob who is Israel was that if any nation or person chose to curse Israel then the Lord would curse them. If any nation blessed Israel, the Lord would bless them. The Word also tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, that there is no one like the God of Israel, that He provides help, that He is eternal, the Creator of heaven and earth, He has never changed and that He is holy.
- Genesis 27: 29 AMPC Let peoples serve you and nations bow down to you; be master over your brothers, and let your mother’s sons bow down to you. Let everyone be cursed who curses you and favored with blessings who blesses you.

May they prosper who love you [the Holy City]! 7 May peace be within your walls and prosperity within your palaces! 8 For my brethren and companions’ sake, I will now say, Peace be within you! 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek, inquire for, and require your good.

- Isaiah 40:28 ESV Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.
The Word of God also tells us that Jesus is the Son of God, the Messiah, the Christ who came to save the world. Jesus is the only way to God the Father. Jesus is God and He does not change. It is God’s desire that all would come to their senses, repent, turn from their wicked ways like the prodigal son so that salvation can come because He already provided the way for salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, the Messiah.

When we pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem, we must bring back to our remembrance of what He has done in the past with Saul’s conversion to Paul, Cornelius’s prayer, and Peter’s dream of all the food that he could now eat which meant to take the gospel to the Gentiles. God’s love story, the Word of God tells us of His miracles, His wonderful answers and if He did it before He can do it again. Whenever we come to the Lord in prayer, we believe that He is able.
Holy Spirit, we thank You that You are God Almighty and when we pray You hear and answer us. We ask that You bless Israel, that You redeem them from their troubles, and we thank You that You are the God of Israel who rides across the heavens to help us, we are grateful. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem that You would hide them from their enemy. Father, we ask that You keep the children and families safe and hide them under Your wings as described in Psalm 91. Holy Spirit, we pray that out of this tragedy would be the miracle of salvation to millions in Israel and their enemies. We pray that all would see that You Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Anointed One and that You are waiting for them to come home to You because You love them. Lord, I pray that we would remember to pray for Israel and that we would be careful to keep our heart and mind focused on You. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
