Power of Our Words

Our Words Create Worlds

When the craziness of 2020 started for many, it was very depressing. For some they have taken their lives because it was overwhelming to be alone, others have lost their jobs or even businesses and they have not recovered. Others their freedom was taken, and it has not been restored, this is dependent on the country that you live in. For many bitterness and grumbling have swamped them.

Before the lockdowns happened whenever I was asked how I was, my answer was usually wonderful. I really hate complaining and I am determined to walk in joy, that does not mean that I will be happy all the time, but I will have joy which is a fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5: 22-23 NASB 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

After the lockdowns happened the Holy Spirit nudged me to start answering “full of wonder” when asked how I was. I knew I had to release out of my mouth into my heart of God’s wonder for belief, peace etc. and He just showed me today almost three years later that since the Holy Spirit lives inside of me and that I am ‘full of wonder’.

1 Corinthians 6:19 ESV Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

I sit next to a genius at work who can be more of a quiet sarcastic, does not believe that he is a genius at his work, teaches taxes and all forms of taxes. Whenever I would say “full of wonder” he would usually grunt and a couple of times said yeah, full of what. However, it was not much longer that when I would say hello and ask how he was doing, his answer was “full of wonder” but with no belief in the statement with grunting and definitely not sounding as cheerful or happy as me. Gradually he moved to the stage of when he would walk into the office and past my cubicle he would say “full of wonder” still grunting without me even getting to say hello or how are you? I do remember the first day when he said “full of wonder” because I was having a hard time and when he said that I bursted out in laughter, thanking him because I needed to hear it from someone else. Our words create an atmosphere and they are powerful.

I fought through the depression of the lockdowns by saying I am “full of wonder”, I listened to the Word of God, read the Word of God, listened to lively worship music, even when biking by myself I would have my worship music blaring so all past me by could hear.

When he started to say “full of wonder” there was breakthrough in the Spiritual realm. You see we have an awards night after each tax season he received the President’s Award which means you have received more than a couple of awards in different areas. I do not remember him ever receiving that award or any in previous years.

May this testimony encourage you that as you go forth in your days and speak out words of encouragement that your prayers are bringing heaven to earth.

Matthew 6: 10 NKJV Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.

When you speak to your children and grandchildren and prophesy to them “You hear the voice of the Holy Spirit and you are obedient to the Holy Spirit, that they are made in God’s image, they walk in the fruits of the Spirit, that they are an excellent husband, an excellent wife, excellent father, excellent mother etc.” That this is truly what happens. It does not matter if they grunt, do not sound like they believe you; YOU ARE DOING BATTLE IN THE SPIRITUAL WORLD ON THEIR BEHALF AND YOUR WORDS ARE CREATING WORLDS AFTER GOD’S HEARTS.

Father God, I come before all of us that we would know that we are full of wonder, that we hear the Holy Spirit and are obedient to the Holy Spirit, that You Lord are interceding for us right now and our prayers are being answered and that You have not forgotten one prayer. Please encourage us  right now because we have been praying for our grown children to surrender to you, come running home like the prodigal son. Father God, please let our children see that You are a Good Father standing, waiting with a kiss, ring, robe and a sandal. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Revelations 5: 8 NASB When He had taken the [h]book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the [i]saints.

I pray that this testimony would encourage you to take heed to the words that you speak and that your words are powerful and they do create after their own kind.
