Follow Your Dreams

Don’t ever stop dreaming.

I had a dream of writing a book for years now, but I never spoke of that dream to anyone.

For years I have been journalling, taking notes from teachings and I have all those writings kept, letter writing, just anything that I wrote, and I had this longing to write a book. I also took a short course this past December on how to write a book. But whenever I would sit intentionally to write a book my mind was blank. When I spoke to my husband in December of writing a book, he asked well who will be your publisher? I did not have an answer for him, but I just said that I wanted to write.

On New Year’s Eve we were online for a prophetic call for our country and praying for our country. When that ended my husband who is my greatest encourager, had a word from the Lord for me that I was supposed to be writing a blog. My response was I do not know how to write a blog but thankfully I also know the importance of honouring, submitting, and obeying my authority. Unfortunately, I have found out the wrong way because I have always not, but this is another blog. In a marriage we are both in submission to one another and as a wife I am to submit to my husband, I have found through mistakes of not submitting that when I do submit, I am blessed and protected.

Well, a couple weeks later a younger friend came to teach us about starting the blog even though he does not have his own blog, but his wife is wanting to start her own. He studied before he came. God will always guide us of who to speak to. We needed someone to help us in the technical part because I am not a techie, I needed help and I asked for help. When I prayed, God showed me him and I knew that either he would be able to help us or he would direct me to a techie who could explain and show me. God is faithful.

James 1: 5-6 ESV If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.

On the thirteenth of January 2023 I started this writing my blog “Come Up Here and See”. I believe that because of my submission to my husband I have not been short of ideas for many postings whereas when I wanted to write a book, I could not gather my thoughts.

I have prayed for years that I was available to the to Lord to speak to me in my night watches and almost every night I get up to write either a title, couple of sentences, paragraphs, or dreams and because it is the middle of the night and if I am writing or scribbling out with pen, it can be messy. I have found that since I have asked God to speak to me in dreams, visions, night watches then I also need to honour Him and get out of bed and write it down to the best of my ability otherwise I will not always remember it the next day.

Jeremiah 33: 3 ESV Call to me, and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.

If you have a dream just start doing something for it, prepare, read, practice but set your hand to the plough and start ploughing because we do not want to be lazy, we want to bring in the harvest and that takes work. We also do not want to have any regrets when we get to heaven. I would rather start a dream, fall, get back up, reroute, change whatever but keep moving forward. We cannot sleep or slumber.

Luke 9: 62 GNT Jesus said to him, “Anyone who starts to plow and then keeps looking back is of no use for the Kingdom of God.”

To seek God, we must draw near first. Just take that leap of faith and walk on the water, we do not want to be like the safe theologians back in the boat who said that it could not be done and missed the opportunity to walk on the water towards Jesus. How I love Peter. He gives me hope!

Matt. 14: 28-29 ICB Peter said, “Lord, if that is really you, then tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 Jesus said, “Come.” And Peter left the boat and walked on the water to Jesus.

I want to encourage you that you are never too old to dream, never too young to dream, you do not have to be debt free, it does not matter if you are male or female, your race, your education, your eloquence of speech or lack thereof to dream. All that matters is that you dream and never stop dreaming and walk towards the dream.

Dream big and know that with God we will never stop dreaming. That is the coolest part of our relationship with Jesus Christ. He is a lover of dreamers. I am one of God’s dreamers!

Holy Spirit thank You so much for encouraging us, speaking to us through our night watches, guiding us, directing us closer to You. Father I pray that all who have dreams with You, would step forward in their dream, keeping their eyes and heart focused on You and that we would allow fear to grip us so that we miss walking on the water. Lord let us all know how exciting it us to walk in our dreams with You and that if we stumble small or big, You always know where we are and You are able to help us back up. Thank you Holy Spirits for dreams because I know that when I dream I am being like You. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Your whole post showed up in my comments. That has happened before with other bloggers posts. I still have not figured out how to fix it. “Technology is my friend.”
